ReSEED was one of the main topics of debate at the Environment, Territory and Society <\/i>research group’s meeting on February 14, 2019.\u00a0 <\/span>After a presentation led by Principal Investigator Dulce Freire, the project has received important contributions from the research community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigators have raised questions concerning the possible reseed of crops and the challenges in relation to climate change. Researchers also discussed the transdisciplinary nature of the project and proposed some forms of putting it into practice throughout the investigation’s process.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE RESEARCH GROUP<\/span>
<\/span><\/h4>\n

The <\/span>Environment, Territory and Society research group<\/a> is based at Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Sociais \u2013 Universidade de Lisboa<\/i> (Institute of Social Sciences \u2013 University of Lisbon). It aims at developing interdisciplinary research and critical analysis of the dynamics, social, territorial and governance underlying socioecological challenges and the transition paths to more just and sustainable societies. It has three main lines of research: climate change, food and urban transitions.\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

OBSERVA<\/a> Observatory of Environment, Territory and Society is the research group’s main dissemination tool. This permanent research program promotes training actions and seminars on policies and publish policy and research briefs. It also has a blog and other dissemination activities to stakeholders and non-academic stakeholders. Providing useful information for policy-making and knowledge dissemination on environment, territory and society for the general public is one of the OBSERVA’s main goals.<\/span><\/p>\n
